WTMP Privacy Policy

Privacy Policy for WTMP (Who Touched My Phone)
Last updated: 2/12/2026

This Privacy Policy is provided by Jawad108 ("we", "us", or "our") to explain how we handle user information in the WTMP mobile application.

1. Core Privacy Principle

WTMP is an offline-first application. We do not use external servers to store, process, or transmit your personal data. All monitoring and reporting happen strictly on your local device.

2. Collection and Use of Personal and Sensitive User Data

To provide security features, the app accesses sensitive information. We handle this data as follows:

Camera Access: When an unauthorized unlock attempt is detected, the app captures a photo of the user. This image is stored locally on your device's private storage. We never upload these images to any server.

Device Administrator Permission: This permission is used solely to monitor "failed unlock attempts." This is a core requirement for the app to function. You can revoke this permission at any time through your device settings.

Files and Media: The app stores logs and images in app-specific folders. This data is not accessible to other apps and is deleted when the app is uninstalled.

3. Data Retention and Deletion

Because all data is stored locally:

User Control: You can delete any report or photo manually within the app at any time.

Automatic Deletion: All data is permanently erased if you uninstall the app or "Clear Data" in your device's Android settings.

Access: We (the developers) have no way to access, recover, or see your data.

4. Third-Party Services

Advertising

This app uses Google AdMob to display advertisements. AdMob may collect and use certain data to show personalized or non-personalized ads. This may include:

  • Device identifiers (Advertising ID)

  • IP address

  • General location (country/region)

  • App usage data

AdMob is operated by Google and is subject to Google's Privacy Policy:
https://policies.google.com/privacy

You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting:
Settings > Google > Ads > Opt out of Ads Personalization

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. Ad-related data collection is handled entirely by Google's AdMob SDK.

5. User Rights

Under various global privacy laws (like GDPR or CCPA), you have the right to access, rectify, or delete your data. Since your data never leaves your device, you can exercise these rights by using the "Delete" functions within the app.
